Steve, Darrell, Janet, Brian
Darrell Douglas Varley   -   Darrell is the arranger, bass-baritone, banjo, and guitar member of the group. Darrell is a graduate from Eastman School of Music in Rochester. After many years as a radio air personality, Darrell can communicate to an audience and make them feel "part of the act" and keep attention. He has been a member of "Friends" and "The New Folk Trio". Darrell has his own business, Douglas Media Productions www.dougmedia.com producing commercial radio and television audio. You may email Darrell darrell@dougmedia.com
Brian Schendel   -   Brian picked up playing the bass about five years ago, not having played it since college. He sings baritone on occasion but claims that his instrumental performance is more important to the group. Brian is the cheerleader and puts a positive spin on every "so-so" occasion, always has a great one liner and keeps Darrell in line. Brian is an investment-insurance advisor. You may email Brian brian.schendel@thrivent.com
Janet L. Varley   -   Jan is an accomplished pianist with ragtime influence. Janet started learning the mandolin in '95 after purchasing a Gibson at an auction. She now doubles on tenor guitar and banjo as well as tin whistle, cats paws and sings alto. She is also a fan of Tom Leher…That attitude comes in handy. Janet is a Cytologist at a local hospital
Stephen Rowell   -   Steve is the newest member of the group. He has one of the folksiest tenor voices around. If you close your eyes when he sings a ballad he really does sound like Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul and Mary). His roots, like most, are in sixties rock and roll bass and guitar. Steve is also in charge of the sound system. Since he is the owner of Audio Classics www.audioclassics.com, this band has very nice PA equipment. Thanks Steve.
